Hey folks! Wanted to put out a good news update :D
Thanks to everyone's help, we've hit our goal for keeping our bots alive :D
At the very least, we'll still be able to afford hosting for our bots regardless of what happens :3
We're so thankful for everyone's support!!
One day we plan to make this our full-time job, giving us the time to properly maintain and develop our bots. In order to get there, it means being able to pay our bills and afford necessities like food and gas. Here are the goals we have when it comes to those:
Rent for us is currently $800 a month (though it might be upped soon, but we'll handle that when it happens). If we can afford rent through our supporters and subscribers, then that takes a huge load off of us and means we can keep our house even if other things fall through!
This covers everything from hosting to rent to the internet bill, and gives us a fair amount to use for food and gas! This is about the minimum budget we'd need to make sure we can eat and take care of smaller expenses that might crop up. It also gives us a bit of wiggle room for future hosting on top of bills, just in case our bots end up needing a bit more RAM to work with
This is our ultimate goal in terms of income- lots of room for handling surprise expenses while still taking care of necessities. Taking care of 3 adults (us, our partner, and a friend living with us) is expensive, and this will make it for sure possible! Anything above this is just nice to have and means we can completely avoid working at a traditional job and can put all our focus on our bots and projects :D
Getting to full-time is a pretty significant goal for us, and always has been. We're super appreciative of everyone that supports us, especially since we've never expected people to support us without getting something back- other than being able to use our bots, at least
We've talked a lot about premium, and it's still the number one way we plan to get the income we need. It's been hard for us, since we still want to keep our bots free for those who need them, but we've done some number crunching and I think we've got a plan that'll make it easy for the people who need it to still use the bots while incentivizing and rewarding others who support us. We're working hard during this time to try to get something out while we're job hunting, and if all goes well, we'll have our bot dashboard and a basic version of premium up and running soon!
As always, thank you to everyone who's currently supporting us!!
We greatly appreciate any form of support, be it monetary or just sharing our creations with others. We wouldn't be where we're at without y'all!!
