October 2024 Review + Transparency

Hi all, it's time for another review

Transparency

A lot of this month was spent job searching, since we had to focus on that. October was the marker for 6 months (!!) without a job, so we put our all into it. We have some good news and bad news when it comes to that

Bad news: Despite trying as hard as we could and spending a lot of time on it, we weren't able to land a job this past month

Good news: Our partner got a job instead, and she's enjoying it a lot so far :b

Funny enough, the job she has is one we interviewed for first, but they didn't give us the job. They opened up the job listing again and she was able to apply, interview, and land it, pfff

We held off on announcing this just in case it didn't work out again, but so far she seems really happy with everything. She gets her first paycheck this week, and once that happens we'll know for sure how to budget and get bills taken care of. Things are looking up again at least :)

Review

In terms of activity this month, we didn't get a lot done- pretty much all our time and energy went into the job search. That said, we're back on track to be able to keep working on our projects full time without too much worry, and we've got a solid schedule for how we plan to work each week. Hopefully we can start making more visual progress again soon ;b
