September 2024 Review + Transparency

Hey folks, it's that time again! Let's take a look at things that happened this past month:

Transparency

Last month, we spent a lot of time scrambling to find ways to get rent together. We were working under the impression that we'd have to pay $1,000 for rent, and it was incredibly stressful for us. We opened up a gofundme, we reached out to extended family, we doordashed, we continued to apply for jobs. In the end we were able to make a deal with our landlord again after showing him the effort we were putting in, and so we're allowed to stay another month

That said, have some tentative good news this time: our partner was offered a job that she seems more confident with, so with any luck things should start looking up for us! However, she doesn't start until the 14th, so we won't know if the job negatively affects her physical/mental health until then

We're hoping that things are figured out for now, but we'll just have to see how things go

Review

Unfortunately, because of our scrambling last month, we didn't have a ton of time to work on our projects. Fox and Birthday Bot got some bug fixes, but that's about it. Helping family was labor intensive and took us out for days at a time, even with frequent breaks. It's been a frustrating fight between our need to get money and our need for rest and recuperation, but we've been getting through it

On a better note, now that our financial issues will hopefully be taken care of soon, we do have some things that we're planning when it comes to getting back into our projects! We're still hesitant to share everything right now, especially since our situation is still up in the air, but we're excited for what we might be able to do soon :3
